MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) Department of Radiology in Washington, DC is seeking a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiothoracic imager for a position in an expanding practice. MGUH is a part of the MedStar Health System and the enterprise-wide MedStar Medical Group Radiology practice.
The Department offers a full range of cardiothoracic imaging services. We have a well-established thoracic imaging practice with a close relationship to our outstanding oncology, pulmonary and thoracic surgery programs; we also have a growing system-wide cardiac imaging program, with a cooperative effort with our Division of Cardiology. The Lombardi Cancer Center is the only NIH Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington DC and has very active clinical and research programs. The successful candidate will help lead our efforts to support a robust and growing cardiothoracic imaging practice while also enhancing our academic mission in support of our strong fully accredited radiology residency program.
The Department has 5 Siemens CT scanners, 5 Siemens MRI systems, and a PET CT scanner. Over the past few years, the practice has deployed a new, fast, resilient, and modern cloud-based enterprise-wide PACS, the latest dictation software (AI-enhanced), and multiple AI solutions that are well integrated into the workflow. The department has a robust enterprise-wide informatics infrastructure to facilitate informatics and AI research and to support other research efforts and quality improvement through data discovery and custom application development.
This position offers competitive compensation and an excellent work schedule with substantial vacation and dedicated academic time. Academic appointment is provided through the Georgetown University School of Medicine at a level commensurate with qualifications.

MD or DO degree
Eligible for medical licensure in Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia
ABR certified or board eligible
Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Radiology
